To say "thank you" it is just not enough

We had counseling with Jonathan for about a year, not just as a couple, but also individually.

Thanks to Jonathan I learnt that I have control over my marriage and my life, that I have the power to decide how much I want to give and how much I want to tolerate. I learnt to set boundaries in and outside my marriage. I have a better and healthier relationship with my partner, my family and my friends. I am not afraid anymore.

In regards to my marriage, I no longer feel like I am in a small kayak in the middle of the ocean during a hurricane. Jonathan didn’t tell us how to solve our problems; he just guided us so that we could find the answers by ourselves. It was a long and painful road, but I am so happy that we didn’t give up.

2010 seems such a long time ago now, and I am glad for that, because it was a very-very long and painful year. I just couldn’t see a way out other than divorcing. I was so hurt and fragile, I felt so unloved. Some days, when I look back (not too often though), I just can’t believe that we managed to save our marriage; we are in loved again and we are planning a family. I can again see myself in the future with my husband. We are better equipped now; we have relationship's tools and skills to face any difficulty. We are a true couple; we have the foundation to build a stronger and happier life together.

Thank you Jonathan, you saved my marriage and gave me so much hope, you made my life so much easier. You will be in our heart forever!
